About

Engaging, Loyal and Personable

Andrew Ross

I was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky. I am a Senior at Asbury University in the small town of Wilmore, Kentucky for Media Communication with an emphasis in Television Production. Originally, I wanted to be a Mathematics major to design prosthetic limbs for amputees, but that passion drifted away. However, the logical mindset required in math has never left me when going into the world of media. I have gained many news tools that has helped me grow as a producer of content. Most of all, changing from Math to Media has challenged me as a person and a communicator.

My experience ranges from being a camera operator for 8 years and a broadcast director for my local church for 4 years. I have been video editing for 2 years and my knowledge of editing software ranges from Adobe Audition, Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro. I have completed a promotional video for church planters in the downtown Chicago area as well as news packages for school. My other skills are coding (languages include C++ and Python), playing guitar for a decade, and customer service for almost 2 years at Papa Murphy’s Take n’ Bake.

When working with clients for producing videos, my core values are telling the right story and reaching the right audience. I value understanding my clients’ worldview by getting to know them and tell a powerful story through media.
